SICA Immersion Program 2012 – Its a wrap!

On the 21st of January, founders of 4 teams from SI Camp Asia 2012 gathered in Singapore for a 2 week immersion program. During the 2 weeks founders were pushed, challenged, inspired and ultimately grew under the guidance of mentors from our mentor network.

Here are some key takeaways that each founder would like to share with all:

  • “Understanding why the Customers would turn to your solution is vital!” Izwan co-founder of ThatApp

  • “Work in this order: 90 second pitch > 10 page pitch deck > Business Model Canvass > Business Plan! Easy Peasy :)” Amy founder of Find Art.

  • “Refining, refining and refining the business model further but not to the point of perfection. The only way to find out if the business model would work is to get it tested in the market.” Joel co-founder of Blood Donors Network

  • “Know our target customer really well, build a relatively solid business model, then GO OUT AND DO IT! No matter how perfect the planning seems, the model almost always changes after its first contact with customers.” Caryn co-founder of Rare Genomics Asia

Thanks!
